Hair Care

Luxury hair extensions are an investment. With the right routine, your raw bundles can last 3+ years while staying soft, shiny, and tangle-free. Unlike beauty supply hair, raw hair comes from a single donor—so treat it as if it’s your own.

Daily Care
  • Gentle Brushing: Use a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush. Start from the ends, working up to the roots to prevent shedding or breakage.
  • Hydration: Apply a light leave-in conditioner or serum daily (focus on mid-shaft to ends). Avoid heavy oils near the wefts.
  • Night Routine: Braid or twist hair before bed. Cover with a silk bonnet or sleep on a silk pillowcase to prevent tangling and dryness.

Washing & Conditioning
  • Frequency: Wash every 7–14 days (more often if wearing product-heavy styles).
  • Shampoo: Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo. Sulfates strip natural oils and can dry out extensions.
  • Condition: Always follow with a moisturizing conditioner. For deep hydration, use a deep conditioner or hair mask every 2–3 weeks.
  • Detangling: While conditioner is in, gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb before rinsing.
Tip: Always wash hair downward, never bunch or scrub—it prevents matting.

Heat Styling

  • Protection: Always apply a heat protectant spray before blow-drying, curling, or straightening.
  • Temperature: Keep flat irons and curling tools at no more than 410°F to maintain hair health and luster.
  • Variety: Alternate between heat styling and heat-free styles (flexi rods, braids, buns) to extend the life of your extensions.

Coloring & Chemical Treatments
  • Professional Only: Luxury raw hair can be lifted and colored, but we strongly recommend having it done by a licensed professional.
  • Aftercare: Use protein treatments and hydrating masks after bleaching or coloring to restore strength.

Swimming, Fitness & Travel
  • Swimming: Chlorine and saltwater can damage extensions. If swimming, braid hair and wear a swim cap. Afterward, rinse thoroughly and apply conditioner.
  • Gym/Sweat: Tie hair up and cover with a silk scarf or wrap to minimize sweat absorption.
  • Travel: Always pack a satin scarf/bonnet and a small leave-in spray for hydration on the go.

Sew-In & Wig Maintenance
  • Sew-Ins: Shampoo and condition both your extensions and natural hair underneath. Use a nozzle bottle to get product into your braids. Dry completely to prevent mildew.

  • Wigs: Store on a wig stand or mannequin head. Wash and condition every 10–15 wears or as needed.

Do’s & Don’ts
  • Do keep hair moisturized.
  • Do wrap/protect hair at night.
  • Do use professional products designed for extensions.
  • Don’t cut wefts (this causes shedding)
  • Don’t sleep on wet hair.
  • Don’t overload with heavy oils/grease.
